Elizabeth Beads Handmade Lampwork Glass Beads & Frit Blends

FAQs

About my work

All my beads are loveingly handmade by me in my smoke-free home studio in Sugar Land, Texas. My beads are made with high quality glass cane made in the USA, Europe and the Far East.

Being handmade, no two beads are perfectly identical, which is part of what makes each one special and unique.

I work on a GTT Scorpion, which is a four stud propane & oxygen surface mix torch.

My beads are made on 3/32" mandrels (unless stated otherwise) and annealed in a digitally controlled Paragon Bluebird bead kiln for lasting integrity.

Annealing is a process of holding and cooling the glass at the proper temperatures. If the glass is cooled too quickly, thermal shock may cause breakage. Annealing also reduces invisible stress in a bead by evening the temperature throughout the bead at the strain point, before cooling.

My finished jewelry is made with high quality beading wire and quality spacer beads and clasps from international suppliers. These are combined with handmade lampwork beads in pleasing color palettes and delightful designs.

About Me

I am a Self Representing Artist (SRA), someone who creates and sells their own work. When you see the SRA logo, you will be assured that the seller is selling only their personal work and has been approved by a committee to display the logo.

If you see something you like, but would like to own it in another color combination, a different size, or if you have an idea of your own in mind, please let me know and I will custom design something especially for you at a reasonable cost.
